Behaviour

We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of behaviour, ensuring every child can learn in a safe, respectful and focused environment.

At Lift Beacon we believe that a positive and respectful environment is fundamental to creating a safe, nurturing, and effective place for learning.

Our children deserve to learn in a disruption free environment and therefore clear guidelines are essential to maintaining a classroom and school that is conducive to learning, ensuring that all students understand their responsibilities towards themselves, their peers, and the wider school community.

In order to achieve this, at Lift Beacon we expect pupils to behave with our Beacon P.R.I.D.E values at heart.

Perseverance

We never give up, even when things feel difficult. At Beacon, pupils keep trying, take small steps forward, and show patience when things take time to learn. We encourage each other to stick with challenges and celebrate the effort it takes to succeed.

Respect

Everyone is equal and deserves to come to school feeling valued and safe. We treat everyone with the respect they deserve. This is staff and pupils being brave and challenging wrongs, to make the right call.

Inclusion

Everyone belongs at Beacon. We welcome and value each person for who they are, making sure that no one is left out. Pupils and staff work together so that everyone can take part, feel accepted, and share in the life of our school.

Determination

We set ourselves goals and work hard to achieve them. At Beacon, pupils and staff stay focused, keep trying when things are tough, and take pride in finishing what we start. We encourage each other to stay on track and to be proud of our progress.

Excellence

We always strive to be the best we can be. At Beacon, pupils and staff take pride in their work, aim high in their learning, and show care in everything they do. We support each other to keep improving and to celebrate achievements along the way.
