We take a whole school approach to wellbeing. If a child is feeling safe, happy and confident they are more likely to learn at school and progress.

Lift Beacon’s Approach to Health and Wellbeing
At Lift Beacon, the health and wellbeing of our pupils is at the heart of everything we do. We take a vigilant, proactive approach to nurturing both physical and emotional wellbeing across the school community. Our dedicated team of Emotional Literacy Support Assistants (ELSA) provide daily emotional support to pupils, helping them build resilience and navigate challenges with confidence. In addition to this internal support, we offer access to a qualified external mental health therapist and have a staff member trained as a Mental Health First Aider. Our school grounds include a variety of calm and inclusive spaces designed to promote emotional regulation and wellbeing, including our dedicated Pupil and Family Wellbeing Room — a safe and welcoming space for reflection, support, and connection.
Supporting Families at Lift Beacon
We understand that family wellbeing is integral to the success and happiness of our pupils. At Lift Beacon, we are proud to offer a range of support services for families, with open access to our Wellbeing Room for parents and carers who need a listening ear or practical guidance. Families are encouraged to speak to any member of our trained staff team, who are equipped to provide emotional, behavioural, or pastoral support, and can signpost to additional external services when needed. Whether through structured support or informal conversation, our approach is rooted in care, respect, and community — ensuring no family faces challenges alone.
